B. Joshi est n\u00e9 le 3 d\u00e9cembre 1910 \u00e0 Pune, en Inde. Son p\u00e8re, Bar Krishna, \u00e9tait un ing\u00e9nieur civil au service du gouvernement britannique.<\/p>\n<p>L. Le grand-p\u00e8re de L. B. Joshi \u00e9tait pr\u00eatre \u00e0 Tushi baug, \u00e0 Pune. L. B. Joshi est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 du B. J. Medical College Sassoon Hospital. Il s&rsquo;est rendu en Angleterre, a obtenu le titre de FRCS, puis est revenu pour cr\u00e9er un h\u00f4pital \u00e0 Karachi, au Pakistan. Pendant la partition, il s&rsquo;est install\u00e9 \u00e0 Hyderabad, puis \u00e0 Pune. En 1952, il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 ce qui est aujourd&rsquo;hui l&rsquo;h\u00f4pital Joshi. Il \u00e9tait professeur honoraire de chirurgie au B. J.
